release of Diascriptive Reading ® Online. This diagnostic/prescriptive
program for comprehension development, covering reading
levels 1.5 –12, is now available in an online, web-delivered
format for anywhere, anytime learning. Completely revised
and updated, and designed for students from grades four
through adult, Diascriptive Reading ® has been proven
effective with thousands of students and follows the latest
research from the National Reading Panel on comprehension
development.
Diagnostic
pretests automatically assess students in the crucial
comprehension areas of details, inference, main idea,
sequence, vocabulary, and fact & opinion. The program
then prescribes individualized assignments in a variety
of non-fiction, content-area passages, automatically
advancing learners or providing targeted remediation.
The management system provides accountability for educators
and includes name, class, lesson, number of attempts,
number of correct answers, time on task, percent score,
and date.
Diascriptive
Reading Online ® is a subscription-based program,
offering annual licenses for individual modules or the
entire Diascriptive Reading ® Series. The program
is browser independent and accessible through either
high-speed connections or dial up modems.
